ImagingU conferences are unlike any other! We focus on creating an environment that is informative, approachable, collaborative and most importantly, fun!

Learn MRI Safety With ImagingU

Join Us

If you’re planning to become an MR Safety Officer, need CEU or ARRT credits, or simply want to expand your MRI safety knowledge — join us at an upcoming ImagingU MRI Safety & MRSO Conference!

During our in-person weekend conferences, attendees examine MRI safety topics through various presentations, breakout sessions, and activities. From our world class speakers to our MRI implant panel that gives real life implant clearance practice and our MRI Safety Trivia night, our attendees walk away with confidence, applicable real-world experience, and a wealth of knowledge — all without feeling overwhelmed (plus, participants will earn Category A CEUs with the AHRA for attending in-person event talks!

Participants can also purchase our online Advanced Concepts in MRSO Safety course at a discounted rate. This online course explores MRI safety in depth and features animation, lecture videos, practice quizzes, and board prep mock testing to help you better prepare to sit for your boards. Participants will earn up to 10 ARRT credits after successful completion of the online course.

Attendees have a 100% pass rate for the boards after participating in our conference and online course!

The Experts

World Class Speakers

Dr. John Kirsch PHD

Director, Human Imaging Core Athinoula A Martinos Center for Biomedical Imaging Massachusetts General Hospital, Department of Radiology

Dr. Kirsch is a Radiological Physicist by training and education, having obtained his PhD from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1984. His interest and experience has been in MRI technology for the majority of his career. He contributed significantly to the early pioneering development of clinical applications for MRI as well as in the design and improvement of clinical MRI scanners as a Principal Scientist for more than 30 years at Siemens. He is currently a member of the faculty at Harvard Medical School, and is the Director of the Human Imaging Core at the Athinoula A Martinos Center for Biomedical Imaging in the Department of Radiology at the Massachusetts General Hospital responsible for 8 whole body MRI scanners dedicated to research. His primary interest is in quality control, safety, and system performance as it pertains to general clinical image quality, accuracy and precision of quantitative imaging biomarkers, and in the continued improvements of general clinical imaging applications.

Matthew Hayes

BSRS RT (R)(MR)(CT), MRSO (MRSCTM) President / Co-Creator of ImagingU and ScanLabMR

Matthew Hayes is a lifelong learner and teacher of all things MRI and has been scanning clinically since 2003.  While serving as a professor of MRI at a local university, he recognized the lack of didactic MRI educational tools in the field and sought to create visual content for advanced concepts that could be seen and not imagined. Matthew co-founded ImagingU in 2014 and now helps universities, health care organizations and individuals from over 150 countries improve patient care and outcomes through high quality education.

Christina Calvin

R.T.(R)(MR)(M)(CT)(ARRT), MRSO MRSO MRI Supervisor 2 of UCSF Radiology and Biomedical Imaging Department

Christina Calvin is a multi-modality technologist with 25+ years of experience, whose specialties span Magnetic Resonance, CT, Mammography and MRI simulation. She received the MRSO certification from the American Board of Magnetic Resonance Safety. She is currently the MRSO for a multi-campus university medical center and oversees/implements “all things” MRI safety related. She previously worked in Radiation Oncology, establishing their MRI Simulation & Safety program. She has worked within a variety of healthcare settings, utilizing different MRI system strengths and manufacturers. She has co authored multiple peer reviewed research articles and is a member of the ISMRM and ASTM International.
