ImagingU, a leader in online MRI and CT education, is proud to announce that its MRI Technologist Assistant Certification Course officially fulfills the requirements and standards set forth by RadSite, a national accrediting organization committed to promoting quality and safety in diagnostic imaging.
This recognition positions ImagingU as one of the first education providers to align an MRI Tech Assistant program with RadSite’s guidelines—offering healthcare organizations a compliant pathway to expand their MRI teams and deliver remote scanning services in response to increasing demand and industry-wide staffing shortages. ImagingU’s new online course provides structured education for MRI assistants who support licensed MRI Technologists in the clinical environment.
RadSite’s accreditation standards are designed to promote best practices in radiology operations, including the appropriate use of imaging personnel and adherence to safety protocols. ImagingU’s online curriculum reflects these values through its focus on:
- MRI Safety
- Patient Care
- MRI Positioning
- Venipuncture and Injection Technique
- Important Terminology
“This is a major step forward for healthcare providers looking to implement MRI Technologist Assistants in a compliant and effective way,” said Matthew Hayes, Founder and President at ImagingU. “We’re proud to have built a curriculum that equips individuals and organizations with the tools and knowledge needed to support operational excellence and patient safety while adhering to RadSite’s standards.”
The MRI Tech Assistant Certification is already in use at several imaging organizations, including Akumin Healthcare Services, the nation’s most comprehensive provider of outpatient radiology and oncology service, where it has helped improve efficiency and staff preparedness.
In the coming months, the course will also be enhanced to feature targeted exam preparation and practice tests designed to help future Imaging Assistants succeed in earning the ARRT’s new Imaging Assistant, Magnetic Resonance credential—I.A.(MR)(ARRT). The curriculum will also be carefully aligned with the ARRT’s new standards, equipping students with the knowledge and skills needed to excel on the certification exam and succeed in this emerging professional role.
